A full reversal of the $400 Early Termination Fees applied to my recently-terminated Sprint wireless plan.
The moral of the story: if you know you're right, don't let them convince you that you're wrong. I spent a month haggling with and threatening minor legal action against Sprint-Nextell for illegally extending my contract. Their executive customer service team repeatedly gave me the run-around, gave the better business bureau the run-around, and even encouraged me to file a suit against them in small claims court. Ultimately, a complaint I filed with the Multnomah County D.A.'s office was forwarded to the Oregon Public Utilities Commision, which advised me that if Sprint had not sent written notice of the contract extension, they were breaking the law. They contacted Sprint to request documentation of the written notice. A week later, Sprint advised me they were reversing the fees.
